Story and Review of Yamuna Express way india

We were excited to run on an  international standard expressway from Noida (New Delhi) to Agra (Tajmahal City). The scene at the entry from the Noida was nice --- A circular way and a view of  garden. At the time of entry the printed instruction set  and advertisement of the upcoming F1 race was given to us. We read the instructions and started the journey. We started running our car and the speed was hundred considering safety rules as per instruction provided. Divider plantation work was going on and the ambulance were patrolling throughout the highway. The whole length of the highway is wavy-up-&-down. there are a lot of under pass. The Buddha circuit looks spectacular from the expressway. For first 20 Kms the developing Greater noida scene was there. Both side of expressway you will see various multistory buildings under construction and various project sites. The Jaypee Sports green one of them. As per the program by government this area (both side of expressway) is to develop as the special economic avenue facilitating and exasperating the development of the area. After approx 20 KMs you will see the green fields of the western UP.

Tree and Toll

It was about 9 O clock on 1st October 12 and the sun was shining pushing more and more lights in the the car. No big trees was available near the express way throughout the express way. There were total three toll plaza to the Agra each with toilet facility and a restaurant. The restaurant at Agra plaza was not functional yet. On the restaurant cum toilet facility we had to park the car in the hot sunshine --- no tree --- no shed. the toll fee was 120 Rs/Toll or Rupee 320/- upto Agra  For within 24 Hr return journey an amount of Rs 510 was charged. So you can complete your 24 hr to and fro journey in Rs 510 /- only.

The project was put forward by Sushri Mayawati ji a dalit Chief minister of U.P. The development of the area and the journey time reduction were the prime objective. but this high fee will certainly refrain even the middle and upper middle class person to use the expressway on regular basis.Because your car consumes approx 500 Rs petrol for a 160 KM run and the 320 Rs toll one side is surely out of proportion.  May we conclude that the expressway was meant to be only for privileged rich upper class. Or the motto is to filter the traffic  I am not very sure of it but fees seems a bit higher. We give the income tax and so many other taxes on every product to government even then after 60 years of independence we are not able to get the good way ie the veins and artery of economy. We are even lagging behind the African countries with basic human development figures. The expressways, ways, rails, hospitals, etc are the basic infrastructure to move further.

OK! leave this serious stuff.. The sideways big shadow trees, tied to some structure to prevent storm falling seems need of expressway. I may be wrong but at the toll plaza restaurant the shade and trees are very much required as most of time hot weather is hot.

Speed
           Lets come to the real-time speed and speed limit on the express way:
The speed limit on expressway is 100 KM/HR and one some section of it is 80 KM/Hr. As per the instruction set provided the expressway is loaded with the speed camera. As I observed most of the vehicles were running on and above 120 Km/Hr. Some vehicle were as high as 180 to 200Km/Hr. No legal action/fine imposed on such vehicles. Rule conformance required by the authorities.

On contrary it seems the speed upto 120KM/Hr seems secure and speed limit should be increased on most sections of the expressway.

We hope India will have good and long expressway with less toll fees more facilities justifying the taxpayer's money. India will progress more with smooth flow , without jams and without heart attack of economy.
